These rice-filled pocket handwarmers are made out of fleece, although flannel or wool felt would work as well.
I left the seams on the outside for quicker assembly. Pinking shears would make a more decorative edge for felt or flannel but I found they didn't work as well on the fleece. For a more decorated handwarmer, buttons or needlefelted designs could be added. Fill with dry rice and safety pin together with an instruction tag.
To heat, microwave for 30 seconds (additional heating may be heated depending on appliance).
