Oddie is a quick little friend that can be knit up in a couple of hours using scrap yarn. He is a cheerful little fellow and enjoys bouncing, hugging and 3D movies.
I used some leftover Shine worsted yarn from Knit Picks and size 5 DPNs. Pattern is below but could easily be adapted to give it a different look.

Arms:
- Cast on 5 sts, leaving a longer tail. Knit in I-cord for 1-2 inches, depending on desired length of arms. Bind off by cutting yarn and threading through all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew arms to body using cast-on tail. Stuff head and body, then finish both top and bottom by threading the tail through all stitches and pulling tight. Sew on eye using white felt circle and black button. Embroider mouth using a bit of red or pink yarn.
Hair:
Using a contrasting color, thread a tapestry needle with a long piece of yarn. Make a stitch in the top of the head, tying with a square not and leaving a 1 inch tail. Make a whip stitch, but leave a loop of about 1-inch, rather than pulling it tight. Make another whip stitch, pulling this one tight without tightening the first stitch. Continue alternating these two stitches all over the head, making a loopy hairstyle and adding more yarn if necessary.
