Remember Doc Martens with Black and White Striped Stockings?

(Yes, I am a child of the late 80s early 90s and I listened to Depeche Mode a lot back then). Well I am trying to recreate that stripe in a new pattern, and I can't find any self-striping black-and-white yarn (sock or worsted) to save my life! Does anyone have any suggestions?
